Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.

This garment is a reproduction of the denim pullover used by the US Army in the 30s. Denim became a standard fabric used by the army as early as 1919, replacing the brown cotton duck work clothes that were used prior to that and the pullover was standard issue up until the 40s when a jacket with lower pockets and a buttoned up front replaced it.
