A purple colorway of Drake’s Casentino Fleece Half-Zip Pullover, one of the brand’s signature cold-weather pieces.

Casentino is a traditional Italian wool fabric made from dense, heavily fulled wool, known for its distinctive intentionally raised and textured surface. It is more commonly used for coats and outerwear, making its use in a fleece-style pullover particularly unusual.

The same Casentino fleece concept was also featured in the Aimé Leon Dore × Drake’s collaboration in a different colorway.

The current version retails for $1,065 USD.

This purple was a seasonal color and is especially good. The rich purple body works perfectly with the brown corduroy trim around the collar, while the contrasting zipper, puller and hem drawcords are all extremely well chosen. The details throughout make this one of the most complete fleece designs Drake’s has produced.

Looks particularly good with wide rigid denim or corduroy trousers and substantial outdoor-style boots. In colder weather, it also works extremely well with a down vest, especially if you play with the purple color palette.
