Seller Description
A vintage leather bomber jacket (aviator jacket) with a shearling fur collar and themed patches honoring the legendary American aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, who in 1927 made the first nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean.
Jacket Features:
• Design: The jacket's design is inspired by the classic silhouettes of US military flight jackets of the 1930s and 1940s (such as the A-2 and G-1). It features an authentic shearling collar, elastic cuffs, and large patch pockets.
• Detailing: The jacket features an embroidered pilot's name, a leather decorative panel with metal studs and a contrasting "R" on the chest, and commemorative aviation-themed chevrons on the sleeves and chest. The jacket lining often features prints of flight maps or graphics dedicated to the Spirit of St. Louis.
These jackets were produced in the 1980s and 1990s by iconic vintage clothing brands (e.g., Avirex, Laurence Janners, Aero Leather) as collectible commemorative series for aviation history and military style enthusiasts.
