Up for auction is a true museum-grade archival masterpiece for serious vintage footwear collectors. This is an exceptionally rare, authentic pair of pre-UK era boots, licensed and manufactured in West Germany by BOSSTA during the late 1960s to 1970s

Unlike modern pairs, these feature the iconic original German spelling "DR. MAERTENS" and "LUFTPOLSTER SCHUH" (Air-cushioned sole) hot-stamped into the outsoles, representing the genuine post-war design before the patent was fully commercialized globally
