Seller Description
An incredibly rare early Skoloct T-Shirt by Tsuyoshi Nakano, potentially a 1/1. Founded in 2007, Skoloct is the brainchild of legendary Japanese artist Tsuyoshi Nakano, a pioneer of the Ura-Harajuku movement best known for his work with NGAP and involvement in the original NOWHERE store alongside NIGO and Jun Takahashi. The brand centers around Nakano’s signature character, SKO, a rabbit-like monster recognizable for its psychedelic eyes and bizarre, surreal appearance. This particular shirt features an incredible Ed Hardy-esque illustration of SKO smoking, accompanied by ornate SKOLOCT lettering and vibrant multicolored artwork. Notably, the shirt also features a rare BAPE-inspired sleeve tag, a fitting homage to Nakano’s roots in the original Harajuku streetwear scene. With its unusual graphic, early branding, and seemingly undocumented design, this is an exceptionally obscure piece that may potentially be one of a kind, although exact production numbers remain unknown. A true collector’s piece representing the intersection of Japanese underground art and the golden age of Urahara streetwear.
