Here is available for purchase a Jurgi Persoons Nervous Stitching Layered Midi Skirt

Amazing midi skirt made of a wool and nylon fabrics. Part of Jurgi's first "runway" showcased in Paris in 1999, this garment highlights perfectly the radical style of the underrated Belgian designer. We find here an unusual design pattern, consisting in an extra virgin wool layer that has been added over a nylon midi skirt. We firstly have an asymmetrical sided construction, meant to be worn as shown on the first picture, characterized notably by his signature red "nervous stitching" done by hand around the nylon part on the left side that comes supporting the extra wool layer around the garment, with also a shank buttons placket on the middle part, as well as, raw frayed edges on both sides of the wool part where the latest stops, a waistband, with two darts, that closes on the right side with 2 metal hook and a zipper. As part notably of the MoMu's collection. A true rarity that you most likely won't see again, emphasizing well the most important defining characteristics of Persoons's legacy: a sort of so-called "trash couture" style, his nervous stitching, with a rather punk approach to contemporary fashion and clothes constructions. A personal favourite in the curation, strongly recommended for any Belgian fashion collectors.

Condition : Very good condition, some minimal signs of wear on the nylon part of the skirt around the exterior buttons, check all pictures
