dark indigo

all-cotton loopwheeled fabric in a #40 double-ply yarn — not too thick, not too thin. soft texture and tubular construction make it comfortable to wear and resistant to distortion. very durable and shape-retaining over many washes.

BUAISOU was established in Kamiita-cho, Tokushima Prefecture in 2015, in the heartland of Japanese indigo cultivation. uniquely, all processes are carried out in-house: from growing the raw indigo and fermenting the leaves (sukumo), through to dyeing, design, and production. the dyeing uses only indigo leaves, lye, bran, and shell lime, producing the deep colour and fastness that natural indigo is known for.

size marked Small. measurements taken flat and unstretched: armpit to armpit 48 cm, length 68 cm, shoulder 44 cm.
