Undercover 06SS “T.” Hooded Tee

When speaking of Jun Takahashi’s iconic label Undercover, collections like Scab and Arts & Crafts automatically come to mind as his best production. However, some die-hard fans (like me) could argue that 2006 Spring/Summer collection « T » is often overlooked in Jun’s career.

The show focused on the german progressive rock of the late 60’s to the early 70’s. To bring his idea to life, Jun worked with Nobuhiko Kitamura (the man behind « Hysteric glamour »). Together, the duo created five fictitious rock bands: Chuuut!, The SSSSS, Klaus, the Crouh, and Theo Burp. They created clothes, graphics, records, and even backstage passes. But Jun didn’t stop here and actually took all his garments and then rebuild them into new ones, bringing deconstructed silhouette to the runway.
