An exceptional archive piece from Boris Bidjan Saberi’s Autumn/Winter 2010–11 collection.

This JI-V2 leather jacket represents the designer’s early approach to experimental tailoring, sculptural silhouettes, and artisanal leather craftsmanship.

One of its most distinctive features is the high collar and extended internal layering construction, allowing the jacket to take on completely different silhouettes depending on how it is styled.

When worn open, the inner layers fall naturally, creating an asymmetric, draped silhouette with a strong sense of depth and movement. When fully zipped, the jacket transforms into a structured, high-neck design with a more refined, architectural appearance.

Crafted from 100% vegetable-tanned cowhide with a reverse-oiled finish, the leather features a beautifully textured surface and the rich depth characteristic of BBS’s early leather treatments. The overlapping panels and folds reveal subtle variations in texture throughout the garment.

Additional details include sterling silver 925 hardware and meticulous handcrafted construction in Spain.

The original AW10–11 runway and backstage photographs show the same design in a wool variation, offering a reference for the jacket’s silhouette and styling. This particular piece is the reverse-oiled leather version from the same season.

It pairs especially well with early BBS pieces, including the iconic ninja hood.

A rare archival find, even among international collectors and platforms such as Grailed. Finding another example of this design in comparable condition would be extremely difficult.

Unfortunately, I have outgrown the jacket and have kept it in my collection rather than wearing it.

The reverse-oiled leather has developed a natural aged character over time, with no significant scratches, damage, or noticeable defects beyond the expected patina of the material.
