A rare Pierre Cardin Paris shoulder bag with a distinctive PC logo chain strap, front medallion, and black patent / matte leather construction

This is a strong 1960s / 1970s style Pierre Cardin bag with a structured rectangular envelope shape and a very distinctive chain. The body is black patent leather with a softer matte leather flap. The front has a large round PC medallion, and the shoulder strap is made from mixed metal links with elongated bar pieces and open PC logo links

The bag closes with a large magnetic snap and is lined in silk. Interior has one zip pocket on the back wall

CONDITION:
Good vintage condition with cosmetic wear. The chain and front medallion have some color loss; the chain now reads mostly silver except for the protected area under the flap. The medallion is two-tone from wear. Patent leather has some creasing, small spots, and mild corner wear, including one lower corner and one area at the upper left back of the bag.
