I feel like these would have been sold outfront of Dufferin Mall in 2011 on a blanket covered in fake Gucci bucket hats and belts. I wish I knew the technical breakdown of this kind of “coated” fabric since its obviously not handwaxed and was sold at a low enough price point back in the mid 2000s - but now it seems like brands charge a fair premium for it. I love how it looks and feels, despite it not really being “Lux”.
