the original, not the later reprint.

soft medium-weight cotton jersey — once black, faded evenly throughout to a warm shade of charcoal grey. some coming apart of threads and hand repairs to the overlocking at the sleeve openings.

wider ribbed crew neck than the c. 2015 archive reissue. the original features a distinctive orange-on-black "UnderCoverism for Rebels" neck label with a matching orange side tab for the size, as opposed to the more generic white-on-black label of the reissue. relaxed fit.

the wings print to the back is inspired by the Wing of a European Roller, a nature study watercolour by Albrecht Dürer painted in 1512 — rendered here in a vivid wash of blue, teal, pink, and purple. "UNDERCOVER 07 SS PURPLE" wording to the lower right.

this may have begun life as a T-shirt, reworked into a vest by a previous owner — the sleeves cut away and overlocked to prevent fraying. some coming apart of threads and hand repairs to the overlocking at the sleeve openings. some pinholes throughout. no care tag inside but guaranteed authentic.

size marked 2, will suit a Medium to a slim Large depending on preferred fit. measurements taken flat: armpit to armpit 52 cm, length 72 cm, shoulder 45 cm.
