Florence in the late 2000s—GG Supreme canvas made a comeback as a design element and standard practice, not
out of nostalgia, and the house’s ateliers set about reimagining the familiar curve of
the hobo bag in tan and brown. This Gucci bag captures the spirit of that moment: the GG
monogram canvas framed by dark brown leather trim, the silhouette broad at the
base and tapering to a gentle arc at the top. Silver-tone rectangular buckles
secure the adjustable leather strap, allowing for both shoulder and crossbody wear.

The bag opens to a brown fabric-lined interior with a single zippered pocket and a slip
compartment for essentials. The house’s serif label sits at the seam, matched by
the six-digit style code embossed into the leather tab—details typical of Frida
Giannini’s tenure, when GG Supreme canvas was central to her vision for accessories
. Minor rubbing on the corners and faint hairline marks on the hardware;
the original dust bag is included.
