Very Rare

Original vintage The Beautiful South T-shirt featuring artwork from the band’s 1989 debut album, “Welcome to the Beautiful South.”

The original album artwork features two photographs by Czech photographer Jan Saudek. This particular shirt has the male portrait on the front and the female portrait on the back. Other period examples have surfaced with the artwork arranged differently, including a version with the female portrait on the front, making this an interesting variation of the design.

Single-stitch construction throughout.

The original tag is still intact and remains in very good condition. The print on the tag is faded from age, but appears to be a vintage Screen Stars tag.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The graphics remain beautifully preserved. There are some minor/light stains and marks on the white fabric consistent with age and wear. Please check all photos carefully for the exact condition.

Measurements:
Pit to pit: 23 in / approx. 58.5 cm
Length: 27.5 in / approx. 70 cm

Please allow approx. ±0.5 inch (±1–2 cm) variation due to manual measurement and natural fabric stretch.

A great vintage piece connected to The Beautiful South’s debut album and its distinctive original artwork.
