Coherence Gianni Jacket in Wool Linen Mohair (in NYC)

Coherence's take on the Harrington jacket. Taking its name and inspiration from a photograph of legendary Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni on the set of La Notte, wearing a similar style in the 1960s. The signature detail is the "yoke sleeve" — a hybrid of a cape shoulder and a raglan sleeve that creates a soft diagonal seam across the shoulder rather than a standard set-in sleeve, giving it a distinct silhouette even from a distance. A stand collar closes at the neck, with brown horn-style buttons running down the front with a hidden placket, and a coin pocket at the hip cut and finished like the flap pocket of a tailored jacket rather than a casual patch pocket.

Made from a wool linen mohair blend in a heathered brown-taupe — the mohair adds a faint fuzz and loft to the surface, softening what would otherwise be linen's characteristically dry, crisp hand, while the wool gives it a bit more body and warmth than a warm-weather linen piece alone. The result is a textured, slightly hairy surface with real depth up close. Wonderful transitional piece suitable to handle both the warmer months with its open weave and the cooler months with its body.
