Slimane, who was deeply embedded in the indie scene at the time, spent those years photographing bands, hanging around small venues, and documenting the raw energy of youth culture. He turned that night’s destruction into this text piece, a distilled snapshot of the world he was immersed in and the mood that shaped his collection to come.
