Rare archival Helmut Lang long velvet coat from the Fall/Winter 1997 collection, designed during Helmut Lang’s original era.

Made in Italy.

Long tailored silhouette constructed from dark purple / near-black velvet with a subtle colour shift depending on the light. Classic notch lapels, three-button front, flap pockets, chest welt pocket, four-button cuffs, rear vent and full black lining with internal pockets.

Beautiful understated piece of late-1990s Helmut Lang tailoring. The velvet has naturally developed subtle variations in the pile and surface from wear, which are especially visible under direct light.

Condition: good vintage condition with visible signs of wear consistent with age. Some areas of the velvet show light rubbing / changes in the direction and density of the pile, including around the front closure and other high-contact areas. No major structural damage visible. Please inspect all photos carefully.
