The journey of these boots: I ordered a custom pair of Cutters from White’s Boots in a 10F on the standard 55 last. They were too long so White’s did bespoke modifications to bring the size down to a 9 while preserving the width. Unsung House in Nashville replaced their standard logger heel and mini-lug sole with a Vibram wedge sole— they reworked the midsole so that they still fit exactly as expected from the Cutter/ 55 last. I have worn them gently (around the house and yard mostly) so they are in pretty great shape— ready to live a full life with a new owner. The black waxed flesh is only really beginning its patina/aging journey.
