From 2020, this was a collaboration that marks a turn in 3sixteen’s journey - it was conceived of as part of a store opening celebration for their NYC flagship, which opened up the street from the 18 East studio / store, and also marks their first exploration with artisanal production in India.

The shape (classic) is inspired by a German military liner and the fabric (incredible) was developed by 18 East - as described by Antonio.

“We wove the cotton face and back separately on handlooms, and then hand-stitched them together with a much thicker cotton thread in an alternating triangle pattern that we thought was reminiscent of mountains. What's interesting about this is that yarns are hidden in between the triangles in the ‘negative space’ section of each side, which create lightly padded sections of fill, like a lightweight down jacket.’”
