Up for sale is a Martin Van Massenhove Turtleneck Sweater in an Extra Large.
One of many Belgian designers of the late 90s. From the second wave who got a push such as Raf, Veronique, Lieve, Xavier etc.
Similar to Dirk Bikkembergs as far as Belgian designers go, but also in line with certain Italian designers of the 90s.
Heavy focus on knitwear and particularly on tightness. Not too much images online of his clothes but that was a noted focus.
Very short-lived label like much of his Belgian contemporaries. I believe it may have lasted through 2001 but can't find much sources on it. Used to be a blog post on it but don't know if its still up. Featured in the Belgian Fashion Design book as well.
For an Extra Large it is still quite small. It's supposed to stretch and fit to the body. Would fit maybe a little less fitted on a typical small or medium, but wouldn't look too bad. Just wouldn't fill it out.
Made of a fine wool, feels incredibly nice on the body. Quality for much of the Belgians then was of the highest importance. Fashion as craft.
