Amazing military-inspired fishtail parka made of an overdyed cotton twill fabric. One of his most iconic pieces ever made in his career, the latest encapsulates perfectly all the major components of his work: youth, music and subcultures. Indeed, the outerwear piece features few legendary graphics from British post punk / new wave culture, hand painted by English artists, with the emblematic iconography of Joy Division's album "Unknown Pleasures", "Technique" by New Order, Bauhaus logo on the sleeve, Closer; Joy Division 2nd and last album and Love Will Tear Us Apart; Joy Division's most famous song. All these culturally significant artworks were made back then in collaboration with artistic director Peter Saville that collaborated for the occasion with Raf on his Autumn 2003 "Closer" collection.

This exact parka is worn on the 1st look of the show, in a mod-inspired fit, and is nowadays considered as the rarest iterations out of the 4 different models created for this collection. As it gets harder and harder to find, this one comes with its original liner, being therefore the only one in size 48 on the market with it. The fit of the coat is straight, slightly slim with elongated arms, giving a slender silhouette once worn. The latest shows perfectly how strong and impactful the work of Raf is, with this important link made between fashion and music, resulting in one of the most legendary garments ever made in menswear history with his MA-1 bombers or oversized hoodies for example.
