SPELL BOUND's 215C takes the straight, roomy silhouette of 1940s denim: a high rise, a full thigh and a leg that runs straight to the hem. It is cut for anyone who prefers a wider and more rugged shape than a modern pair gives.

The cloth is a 12oz selvedge finished in Blast Wash, so the fading is already in the denim rather than years away. The details are period-correct throughout - button fly, hidden back pocket rivets, an off-set back belt loop, a paper patch, a plain white selvedge ID and original chain-stitched hems. Cut and sewn in Kojima, Okayama, the town where Japan's first domestic jeans were made.

SPELL BOUND is the men's line of Domingo, a clothing company in Kojima, Okayama that also runs OMNIGOD. Domingo began there in 1946 as a workwear factory - school uniforms, work clothes, tabi - started making jeans in 1966, and gave up workwear for denim altogether in 1971. The SPELL BOUND name went on the menswear in 1981. Everything is made in Japan, sewn in Kojima and in Sanuki, Kagawa, and washed in Kojima.
