From SS16 ‘The Greatest’, where Undercover celebrated their 25th birthday with a collection that revisited and reimagined a lot of their most iconic designs.

This re-imagination focused mainly on the reconstructed shirt blazer from SS06 ‘T’, a silhouette that saw a handful of released in 2006, and was mainly associated with Takahashi’s fictitious band Zamiang. (See original SS06 release on photo 6).

Features the jumbo pocket zips that was featured heavily in ‘T’ and well, single button closure and “FUTURE DAYS” print on the back. A design that I read as Takahashi’s attempt at further building the world of his lineup of fictional bands, which by this point had also recruited the likes of The New Warriors, The Dead Hermits and The Organs just to name a few, and this design language almost feels more adjacent to the new band lineup than the ogs. Which I can also see as how bands tend to develop their sounds and experiment with their musical styles later on in their careers.
