Got rubber vibram soles professionally put on because the original heel rubber wasnt my favorite and the ball of the foot was just leather. Now you wont slip and slide around!

Size 42 = mens size 9 but theyre actually roomy so id say theyre more of a size 9.5

I actually also own these in the size 43 if you need a larger size, I also got the larger size so i could wear thick socks when i had to for an event
