Seller Description
1970s original from The Lion Pub — est. 1968 at 2062 Divisadero & Sacramento, San Francisco. One of the city’s storied gay bars from the pre-Castro Pacific Heights scene, in its heyday as a fern bar in the early 70s alongside the Alta Plaza and J.J.’s Piano Bar. Closed for good in 2016 after 48 years.
This design is documented in the Wearing Gay History digital archive in association with the GLBT Historical Society, San Francisco — you’re buying a documented piece of LGBTQ nightlife history, not just a tee.
