Visvim is a Japanese fashion label founded by Hiroki Nakamura in 2001. Obsessed with classic American Westerns, Nakamura found inspiration among the indigenous peoples of the US. After spending time in Alaska, Nakamura created the first FBT Visvim shoes, based on the moccasins worn by Native Americans. Known for its high-quality Japanese approach to vintage Americana, the brand has become one of the top brands in modern streetwear and luxury fashion, with the Christo Visvim slides being one of the standout items. Elements of vintage workwear, military uniforms, Native American culture, and Japanese tradition are combined in the brand's ethos reflected in Visvim sneakers and boots. While the Visvim's branding is relatively understated, the brand has always had close ties to streetwear, thanks to highly exclusive collaborations with brands like Supreme, Mastermind and SOPHNET.
