Timberland
The Timberland story starts with Nathan Swartz, who bought a half-interest in the Abington Shoe Company in 1952 and eventually took ownership of the entire company. After gaining ownership, Swartz moved the company to New Hampshire, where it was met with rainstorms, blizzards and harsh winters. This led to the creation of the Timberland boots in 1973. The waterproof boots were such a massive success that the entire company renamed itself after the boot in 1978. Since then, the brand has created a wide variety of footwear and apparel, including hoodies and jackets. Timberland also has ongoing collaborations with brands like Kith and Supreme.
