Song For The Mute Men's Tailoring
Australian fashion label Song for the Mute was founded in 2010. Helmed by childhood friends Lyna Ty and Melvin Tanaya, the duo combined their backgrounds in garment construction and graphic design to create the cult menswear brand known for its comfortable designs. Heavily inspired by nature, each Song for the Mute collection is designed to build off previous offerings from the brand.
Songs for the Mute often collaborates with artists and designers from the founder’s extended circle on limited releases and highly coveted main label blazer, top and sweatpant offerings. The Song for the Mute x Adidas collaboration introduced the label’s offerings to a wider global audience. In 2015, Song for the Mute introduced its first womenswear collection featuring footwear and [bomber jacket](https://www.grailed.com/designers/song-for-the-mute/bombers] styles. Both menswear and womenswear collections influenced by nature and travel come together to create a coherent wardrobe intended for everyday wear.
