Hebru Brantley

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Hebru Brantley is a contemporary artist whose influences range from pop art and Japanese manga to Afrofuturism. Most known for his cartoonish Flyboy sculptures and characters, Brantley started his career in film and graffiti. His great breakthrough to a mainstream audience came in 2012 when none other than Jay-Z bought one of his artworks during that year's Art Basel in Miami. Throughout his career, Brantley has always had strong ties to the fashion world and pop culture, resulting in collaborations with brands like BAPE, Billionaire Boys Club and Mitchell & Ness. 2022 saw the release of the first Hebru Brantley book with Rizzoli, the same year he made his first dab into footwear together on a pair of Adidas Forums.
