Half Evil was founded by Sam LeBlanc in 2017. With its infamous $3.33 T-shirts and bold graphics, Half Evil has made quite a reputation for itself in a short amount of time. Half Evil’s brand ethos is all in the name—half evil and thus, half good. The brand’s Notre Dame tee is a perfect example of both sides of that paradigm working at once. Following the April 2019 fire at the medieval cathedral, Half Evil produced graphic tees bearing an image of the tragedy, which was met with outrage. However, once the shirt sold, Half Evil put the profits toward feeding and providing backpacks for the homeless community of Chicago. Sparking controversy, followed by acts of kindness, represents what Half Evil is all about.
