American accessories designer BB Simon](https://www.grailed.com/designers/b-b-simon) established his eponymous label in 1987. Known for elaborate Swarovski crystal encrusted belts, the brand also specializes in menswear. Designer Simon Tavassol, who goes by BB Simon, worked for his uncle’s buckle manufacturing business before launching the brand. BB Simon accessories made of Italian-made leather and precious gemstones reached new heights of fame in the early aughts when hip-hop stars such as Lil Wayne and Pharrell popularized the brand. Since then, a new generation of celebrities, tastemakers and fashion enthusiasts have embraced the brand’s head turning pieces. Most recently, emerging hip hop extraordinaire Ice Spice donned a custom made BB Simon creation.
