Antik Denim is an American denim brand founded in Los Angeles, California, by Alexandre Caugant and Philippe Naouri in 2004. With the help of fellow Frenchman and denim expert Paul Guez (co-founder of Sasson Jeans), Antik Denim became a popular brand during the aughts, thanks to its recognizable back pocket designs with hand-made embroideries and patchwork appliques on Japanese, Italian and American denim. While the brand's rise to fame was quick, the success also quickly faded. Shortly after its parent company, Blue Holdings (who also owned Taverniti So), went public, Antik fell out of favor, leaving the company with massive losses and disappearing into the background. With the resurgence of the Y2K trend in the early 2020s, vintage Antik Denim jeans have resurfaced, appealing to a niche market of vintage denim fans.
