Ambush Design was founded in 2008 in Tokyo by Yoon Ahn and Verbal. The brand started as a hobby for the couple but after they made a replicas of Verbal’s “POW” three-finger ring for friends, one of which was Kanye West, the orders came flooding in and the duo decided to turn their hobby into a jewelry brand in 2012. In 2015, Ambush introduced ready-to-wear apparel to much success. Even more attention was brought to Ambush when Ahn was appointed by Kim Jones to be the jewelry designer for Dior Men. Since then, Ambush tops and outerwear in particular have taken off in recent years, while the accessories remain Ambush’s bread & butter. Like many of its contemporaries, Ambush’s most popular pieces are from its collaborations. Standout items include the Ambush x NBA jacket, Ambush x Converse CTAS Duck Boots, and its multiple collaborations with Nike.
