Bape × Mitchell & Ness

Japanese streetwear brand BAPE first worked with American sportswear heritage brand Mitchell & Ness in 2018. The two brands released a selection of BAPE NBA jerseys featuring teams from cities with a BAPE store. A year later, the Mitchell & Ness x BAPE collaboration was repeated on a series of MLB jerseys and jackets reimagined through BAPE's signature duck camo motif. The BAPE x Mitchell & Ness partnership has been ongoing since, reissuing iconic jerseys from American sports teams through BAPE's Japanese street style from the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL. While all releases from the Mitchell & Ness BAPE jerseys have proven popular, the 1996-1997 inspired Lakers jersey, replacing the logo with BAPE's iconic Ape Head, is among its favorites.
