Rick Owens Vans

Combining the Vans Old Skool design with Rick Owens' post-apocalyptic luxury aesthetic, the Rick Owens Vintage Sneakers, also known as Rick Owens Vans, play with the high and low. Rick Owens' take on the original Vans shoe fits in his arsenal of contemporary interpretations, with earlier versions riffing on Dunks, Chuck Taylor's and other iconic footwear designs. Owens first introduced his take on Vans in 2007. While Rick Owens sneakers are wildly popular, Owens initially intended them to parody the sneakers they're referencing. The Vans parody, in this case, uses premium materials such as calf leather and velour suede paneling, as well as a shark tooth rubber outsole.
