Rick Owens Gimp Jacket

Ever since Rick Owens started his eponymous brand in 1994, the American designer has sought out the boundaries of fashion with avant-garde designs that are singularly his. The Gimp Jacket is yet another case in point, using a full zipped hood that can be worn as a mask over the face. Like many of Owens' designs, the Gimp can be seen as a reference to popularized streetwear items like, in this case, the BAPE Shark hoodie. The Gimp Hoodie and jackets feature a similar over-the-head zipper design, with four metal eyelets for air and vision. Owens has produced several iterations of the design, including Gimp Puffer jackets and vests, released under his main line, DRKSHDW sublabel and in collaboration with Moncler.
