Taking inspiration from goth style and the tattoo world, Playboy Carti released the first collection of his clothing line Narcissist, in 2022. The cut-and-sew label featured a full collection of hoodies, tank tops, t-shirts and hats, displaying several tribal designs and mugshots of people with face tattoos. According to Carti himself, the name of the brand refers to "being the best you," which is subversively reflected in mugshot screenprints on the hoodies and t-shirts. While the release of the Narcissist merch was first expected to accompany a forthcoming album, signs of the follow-up to Whole Lotta Red have yet to surface.
