Miharas

Mihara Yasuhiro's eponymous Maison Mihara Yasuhiro was born in 1997 as a successor to his first brand, called archi doom. The Japanese designer rose to prominence through his collaborations with Puma in the early 2000s and was applauded for his unusual postmodern designs. Yasuhiro's popularity really took off in the late 2010s, mostly thanks to his singular take on iconic footwear. Miharas reference shoes from known brands like Vans, Converse and Nike and reimagine them with luxury materials and exaggerated shapes and sizes. The most popular items are the Mihara Petersons, which play a riff on Converse's classic Chuck Taylor silhouette.
