Maison Margiela Bill Wallet

Since the elusive Martin Margiela co-founded his eponymous Maison Martin Margiela in 1988, the brand has built a reputation for subtly refining or transforming masterful classic items through deconstruction and avant-garde materials.

The Maison Margiela Bill Wallet shows the label's tongue-in-cheek side by creating a leather wallet with fake bills, making it seem as if it is just a hairband holding a stack of money together. First released in 2008, the Margiela wallet uses fake versions of 50 euro, 0000 yen and 00 British pound bills. Subtly referencing the #11 accessory line, the "American version" of the wallet is made from a stack of 11-dollar bills.
