Crust Pants
Taking inspiration from the Crust Punk movement, crust pants generally have a distressed, patched-up look. While the aesthetic originated in the 1980s British punk rock era, high fashion and streetwear brands like Balenciaga and Raf Simons have adopted the crust pants style and turned it into luxury fashion. Among the higher-ranked crust jeans are the ones made by Jun Takahashi's Undercover label during the 2000s. Undercover's crust punk jeans, originally released as part of its S/S '03 collection, feature multilayered patching and stitching, creating a unique rendition for every item. The Japanese fashion house re-issued some of the jeans in later years, and they remain some of the most popular Undercover items.
