Balenciaga Lost Tape Jeans
When Demna Gvasalia brought his subversive Vetements-style to Balenciaga in 2015, he completely revolutionized the brand and the industry at large. The Spanish-French fashion house started releasing more provocative designs, playing with shapes, fabrics, layering and societal expectations.
A prime example of this approach to luxury fashion are the Balenciaga Lost Tape Jeans. Already heavily distressed during production, the Lost Tape flared jeans are designed to rip excessively thanks to an extra-long inseam and wide denim construction. First introduced for Fall/Winter 2022, the Italian-made, unifit Lost Tape jeans have been released in various washes and colors, all with perfectly destroyed bottom seams.
