"Most Expensive" is a weekly franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past seven days. This edition is a recap of the most expensive items sold on the platform in the past year.

As one of our most successful content franchises, it's almost impossible to not be curious about the most over-the-top sales on the Grailed marketplace. As styles and tastes change year over year, you can always expect to discover some new top-dollar pieces that make this year-end list—while also spotting some of the grail-level pieces that could only be found on... well, here on Grailed.

2020 might have been an exceedingly out of the ordinary year, but it's strangely comforting to know—at least as far as "Most Expensive" is concerned—that the Raf Simons "Riot, Riot, Riot" bomber jacket will sit in the top spots. Sure, Drake's "Toosie Slide" music video-meets-house tour helped showcase the jacket to a whole new set of fans, but this piece from Raf Simons has been a grail for roughly the last two decades.

Speaking of decades of luxury status, two titans of the LVMH empire—Louis Vuitton and Dior—made a splash this year. For the former, you'll find a few pieces of the brand's signature luggage; from vintage trunks to a Takashi Murakami collaboration Keepall, it's hard to top one of the most famous monograms in the world. For the latter, Dior's blockbuster collaboration with Jordan Brand resulted in one of the most desirable (and most expensive) sneakers available on the market. With limited availability and designer cachet, it's easy to see how the newest twist on the classic Jordan I sneaker made it's way on this year's list.

Speaking of Dior, one of the more interesting pieces on this year's list is a fox fur coat, created during Hedi Slimane's tenure at Dior Homme. A Belstaff crocodile leather motorcycle jacket rounds out the offering of ostentatious outerwear in fur or exotic leather.

We won't keep you waiting any longer. Scroll down to discover the 10 most expensive sales on Grailed in 2020.
