1990 Vintage GRATEFUL DEAD BERTHA Custom Sashiko Mended Tee

Check out this absolute GRAIL of a shirt! 100% Authentic 1990 Grateful Dead Bertha Wheel & Roses Tie Dyed tee! Absolutely the real deal (not a reproduction).

This tee by itself is a rare gem and rightfully so being that its 30yrs old, but what takes this particular tee to the next level of collectability and elevates it to ART is its provenance. This tee was literally found balled up in a parking lot of a Taco Bell in Colorado. The artist who found it washed it and used a beautiful fabric to mend the holes. He used custom Sashiko stitching to repair the holes and collar. It even has a beautiful Sashiko stitched key on the back! Truly one of a kind piece of art.

The artist named it "LOVE IS KEY".

Distressed/Thrashed vintage condition - general fading overall, holes and fraying have been mended, giving it a truly one of a kind, wearable art look!
