Editor's Note:

We've been listening closely to our community's feedback regarding this unique Supreme release. Grailed’s proceeds from all sales of the Takashi Murakami x Supreme Box Logo T-shirts will be donated directly back to HELP USA, the same charity supported by the original retail release. We feel this is a small, but appropriate way to follow Supreme’s good example.

Supreme is no stranger to using its immense influence to bring exposure (and donations) to a worthy cause. Following the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that ravaged Japan in 2011, Supreme released a "Rising Sun" box logo that (while using a controversial iteration of Japan's imperial flag) saw all proceeds heading to the Japanese Red Cross Society. More recently, Supreme released the "18 & Stormy" tee in 2018; featuring artwork by Richard Prince, the image was a composite of all of the 18 women—including Stormy Daniels—who accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct. Proceeds from the sale of the T-shirt went to progressive political action committee Downtown for the Arts. This week, Supreme unveils its latest T-shirt for charity—this time targeting the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Using its globally-recognized Box Logo, Supreme has partnered with the famed Takashi Murakami to give the brand's signature T-shirt a flowery face lift. Fans of the brand will know that this is not the first time that Supreme has partnered with Murakami; back in 2007, the Japanese artist lent his hand to a series of three collaboration skate decks.

Given that this is both an artist collab and a Box Logo T-shirt, this shirt is practically guaranteed to sell out almost instantly. That's ultimately for the best, as all proceeds for this T-shirt will be heading to HELP USA, a charity organization helping homeless youth and their families across the United States—especially under the uncertain circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Takashi Murakami x Supreme charity Box Logo T-shirt will retail for $60, dropping online exclusively in the US and Canada on Friday, April 24.
