Despite all the uncertainty currently surrounding the sneaker industry as it continues to deal with the effects of COVID-19, May is shaping up to be a busy month for Jordan Brand. The Jumpman is poised to keep consumers glued to their phones and computers on Saturday mornings throughout the month.

Last weekend, the OG Jordan V hit retailers, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the iconic sneaker’s debut. But it wasn’t the first opportunity buyers had to cop the 2020 edition of the old-school classic. During the April 19 premiere of ESPN’s The Last Dance, the 10-part documentary on the epic final season of Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, Nike surprise dropped the V’s on the SNKRS app. It was a brilliant way of capitalizing on the captive audience of Jordan-heads glued to their televisions.

Jordan Brand will follow that up with the Jordan I “Royal Toe” this Saturday. The next week, we have the “Metallic” Jordan IVs. Four different colorways of the uber-popular silhouette–Purple, Red, Orange and Green–will drop in shiny new colorways, similar to the OG “Metallic” Jordan Is from 1985. And finally, the “Flint” Jordan XIIIs are set to drop on May 30, after being pushed back. It concludes an exciting month of releases featuring some of the brand’s most famous silhouettes and colorways. We kick off this week’s list with one of those aforementioned silhouettes, but with a twist.

Never forget: No online retailer has the same breadth and depth of selection as Grailed. From “Galaxy” Foams to Ronnie Fieg Asics (and everything in between)–in no particular order, these are our picks for the Rarest Sneakers on Grailed This Week.
