It’s been nearly two years since the Jordan I collaboration with Los Angeles-based Union dropped and sneakerheads still can’t stop talking about it. We’ve declared it one of the best Jordan collaborations of all time, and rightfully so, as its signature brand of DIY style and Jumpman nostalgia left an indelible imprint on the sneaker industry. Originally released in both a “Storm Blue” colorway and the “Black Toe” colorway, which is highlighted in this listing, each combined elements of two iconic Jordan Is. For the “Black Toe,” you get the OG “Black Toe” red and black base with a Grey/White upper. The blue cross-stitching adds to the DIY effect and the yellowed midsole makes you feel like you’ve been wearing these all your life.

Dutch artist Piet Parra has lent his artistic talents to sneaker design quite a few times over the years, crafting some of the best and rarest Air Max 1s ever conceived. Back in 2008, he opted to tackle another legendary Air Max silhouette: the Air Max 95. For his interpretation of the 95, Parra started with a black base and midsole, and splashed all sorts of beautiful bright colors along the 95’s distinct gradient upper. With waves of pink, red, light blue and white lighting up the shoe, Parra had yet another hit on his hands. You can also see Parra’s artwork on the insole. These were originally released at Dutch retailer Patta—with whom he’s collaborated with many times in the past—and select quickstrike retailers only.

Nike SB has always been great about teaming up with local skate shops around the globe for its Dunk collaborations. This “Fast Times” Dunk is a perfect example, as they helped shed some light on the skate scene down in Australia by teaming up with Fast Times Skateboard Shop. Paying homage to its local community, the “Fast Times” Dunk features a denim upper with leather overlays, both of which sit atop a gum outsole. Golden Fast Times and Nike SB co-branding are front and center on the tongue, while a white Swoosh and laces really pop against the black leather and denim composition. Another underrated hit by a local skate shop.

Speaking of local skate shops, Nike SB churned out another locally-influenced Dunk collaboration back in 2014 with Florida-based Plus Skateshop. With a location right in the heart of the Florida panhandle, it’s appropriate that this collaboration would be dubbed the “Gulf of Mexico.” Dressed in a Grey suede upper, this Dunk is accented by icy blue overlays and pops of white on the Swoosh, heel and laces. A darker shade of grey sits atop the midsole and it finishes off with a gum sole. Too clean.

If you’ve ever popped into a local Japanese restaurant or shop, chances are you’ve encountered a Maneki Neko, a porcelain Japanese cat sculpture believed to bring good fortune to the business. That Maneki Neko serves as the inspiration for this “Money Cat” Dunk from 2007. In all its golden glory, the “Money Cat” features a gold synthetic leather upper with gold suede overlays and Swoosh. Red accents, such as the midsole, laces and contrast stitching, can be found throughout the sneaker, including a tiny flower design by the toe box. Last but not least, you can find a picture of the Maneki Neko on the insole.

With a design resembling a Red Wing boot more than any sneaker, these “Suede Boot” New Balance 574s are the product of the mind of legendary designer Junya Watanabe. Watanabe released five different colorways of 574 in the fall of 2019, with this being the real standout from the group. Inspired by hiking boots, this 574 is composed of suede and nubuck throughout the upper, with noticeable yellow rope laces (most commonly seen on boots). You can find a hint of burgundy on the midsole and “eYe” branding on the heel.

After buying out his contract with adidas prior to the 2002-2003 season, Kobe Bryant was a sneaker free agent. He donned some Jordan “Player Editions” and worked with other brands during that period, but one of the best sneakers he wore during that time included Reebok Questions. Paying homage to that time in Kobe’s sneaker legacy, Packer Shoes released these “For Player Use Only” Kobe PEs back in 2013. The classic Question silhouette is adorned in a Lakers-centric purple and yellow colorway, with a number “8” on the heel, the number Kobe wore when he rocked these sneakers back in the day. With the sports world still reeling from his tragic passing, it’s nice to see a memento from the early days of his storied career.

Back in 2016, at the height of the Ultra Boost wave, Ronnie Fieg took on the Ultra Boost Mid silhouette just in time for his Aspen-inspired Winter collection to drop. Draped in a multicolor Primeknit upper with matching laces, this Ultra Boost proved to be the definition of cozy. Like a sweater for your feet, the “Aspen” had no cage whatsoever and a sock-like collar, and sat atop a white Boost midsole. Fieg has churned out a lot of sneaker collaborations over the years but this remains one of his best. Despite the Ultra Boost wave having already crested, these remain a tough pair to get your hands on.

If you’re too young to remember Dee Brown “pumping up” his Reeboks during the 1991 Slam Dunk Contest, it’s okay, that’s what YouTube is for. Brown would go on to win the Dunk Contest that year and “The Pump” was solidified in both sneaker and sports lore. In celebration of The Pump’s 25th Anniversary, Reebok collaborated with Japanese-based boutique Mita Sneakers on this bold reimagining of the classic hoops shoe. Dressed in shades of neon blues and pinks, this Pump sits atop a speckled midsole with a glow-in-the-dark outsole, truly paying homage to the era from which it was born.

The Jordan V is just an unmistakable Jordan silhouette, one which has made waves both on and off the court over the years. It stands out so much that Supreme chose the silhouette for its inaugural Jordan collaboration back in 2015. Originally released in three colorways–black, white and the all-over “Desert Camo” print found in this listing–alongside a capsule collection of apparel, the first-ever Jordan and Supreme project was a certified hit. The “Desert Camo” is certainly the loudest colorway of the trio, and features “Sup” branding along the side netting and, in an unprecedented move, the number “94” (the year Supreme was founded) stitched along the heel, replacing Jordan’s “23.” The Supreme/Jordan hang tag is a nice touch as well.
