The 10 Rarest Sneakers On Grailed: Week of April 5, 2020

Last week, Stussy linked up with Nike to drop two new iterations of the Caged Zoom Spiridon silhouette, along with a capsule collection of cozy sweats. After originally selling out on Stussy’s website the week before, Nike gave the apparel and sneakers a wider release via the SNKRS app on April 3.
Originating in the early-1980s in Southern California, Stussy has long been one of the pillars of the modern “streetwear” industry. During its four decades of business, Stussy infiltrated the sneaker space in large part through its classic collaborations with Nike. The brand has a longstanding collaborative relationship with the Swoosh, which has birthed Stussy-designed Blazers, Huaraches, Air Max 95s and the uber-popular “Cherry” SB Dunks.
The release of the Stussy Spiridons signals the beginning of what could be an invigorating year for the heritage brand. Shawn Stussy, the company’s founder, who has been in fashion “retirement” for over a decade, played a big part in Dior’s Pre-Fall 2020 Runway show. Dior creative director Kim Jones has long been a fan of Stussy and his brand, and the two entities will be dropping a collaboration this fall, which consists of assorted apparel and more sneakers, specifically the Shawn Stussy-designed Dior B23.
We kick off this week’s list with another California-based imprint’s successful sneaker collaboration that’s still turning heads.
