Just one week after releasing two colorways that were a little off the beaten path given the brand’s recent color palette, Nike and Fear of God are back on track with the latest Nike Air Fear of God 1 “Summertime Sail”.

Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo took to Instagram to explain the thought process behind the latest colorways of his sneaker collaboration. “The story and tones [of “Summertime Sail”] dive back directly into the DNA of our proposition with the Nike x Fear of God journey… we took a small break to recognize where I played college ball and honor [Florida A&M University] with modernized mint and shoebox orange.” Lorenzo continued “I’m proud of that moment and just as excited to move our story back on track with the Summertime Sail colorway… a nod to summers in the hood when all you needed was crispy white Nikes to set off any fit or hit the court.”

The “Summertime Sail” colorway falls right in line with the first two Air Fear of God 1 drops with a heather grey toe and sail covering the remainder of the upper. With all of the bells and whistles of the previous colorway—like double stack Zoom Air technology and an easily wearable colorway—this will surely be a sought after release.

The Nike Air Fear of God 1 “Summertime Sail” will release on June 8 via Nike’s SNKRS app as well as other retailers. Be sure to check Grailed’s Hype marketplace shortly after the drop for your chance to cop.
