"Most Expensive" is a weekly franchise documenting the top 10 most expensive listings sold on Grailed over the past seven days.

This week, the top sale isn't what's impressive—rather it's what it represents. The prevalence of Hedi-era Saint Laurent Paris leather biker jackets on the "most-expensive" list is well documented—at least one makes it's way on here weekly. What we're starting to notice, however, is how price is trending upwards. While last weeks L17 leather jacket sold for $2,750, this week the exact same jacket (our top sale) sold for a whopping $3,500. While prices fluctuate a given material and season, a near $1000 delta for an identical item is no doubt the result of a surging interest in Hedi Slimane's work given his new found role at Celine—which men are responding incredibly well to. With those pieces even more prohibitively expensive, no doubt many men are searching for his designs elsewhere. The trend continues at our number two spot, a Naval coat from the Fall/Winter 2013 debut Saint Laurent Paris menswear collection. After Saint Laurent, this week's list is heavy on rare accessories including a KAWS vinyl figure, a rare Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama duffle designed by Marc Jacobs and finally the ultra-coveted Supreme "Superman" deck by irreverent artist George Condo.
