One of the most promising streetwear brands in New York, Awake NY is back with a new collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 season.

While each season naturally includes the Awake logo hoodies and tees—which inevitably sell out—designer Angelo Baque always delivers some cut-and-sewn pieces for variety. This time around, the highlight is the Landmark Trench Coat. In two colors (tan and charcoal), the checkered jacket is emblazoned with a graphic combining many of the world’s national monuments wrapping around the torso, most notably Manhattan’s pre-9/11 Twin Towers. Other notable pieces include the silk Flamingo Print Camp Shirt, the Amy long sleeve tee—an ode to the late Amy Winehouse—and the Slapbox with Jesus tee, a reference to Ghostface Killah’s “Daytona 500.”

As usual, this collection includes a wide variety of accessories such as dad hats, bucket hats, side bags, pillow cases, socks, keychains, palo santo and most interestingly a tostonera, a press used to make handmade tostones.

Awake NY will release on May 3 exclusively at Dover Street Market London, followed by an in-store installation at New York City’s premiere vintage store Procell from May 8 to 11. Finally, the collection will hit Awake NY’s online store and other retail locations on May 13. Be sure to check Grailed’s Hype marketplace shortly after the drop for your chance to cop some pieces.
